Kristina Goel

American Medical Association
Director, Employee Communications
Kristina Goel is a career communications strategist who has developed, implemented and evaluated successful communications solutions on behalf of corporations, government agencies and associations.

At the American Medical Association, where she currently serves as Director, Employee Communications, Kristina has rebuilt the employee communications strategy and reimagined all supporting channels, including a new digital workspace. Results of these changes have surpassed all six KPIs: from internal email reduction to increased employee engagement. AMA’s new intranet was recently awarded one of Neilson’s “top 10 intranets in the world” in 2018.

Kristina also plays a critical role in AMA enterprise message development and has shaped storytelling approaches for leaders-at-all-levels of the AMA who actively lead the national conversation about the future of health care. She is an excellent editor and writer, who can eloquently distill complex concepts into key insights. She serves as a trusted advisor and excels in the role of coach for leaders and colleagues.

Kristina is a leader with the experience to drive increased reputational relevance, and a skilled manager of both people and projects. She has won many communications awards, including recognition for the AMA’s 2017 employee engagement program; an ACE Award in 2014 for leading the “best in-house communications team” in the U.S., and a 2011 CLIO Healthcare award for social media.

Kristina holds an MS in communications and management from Northwestern University and a BA in English/journalism from Miami University.
