Senior Global Communications Manager and Change Management
Since taking over the communications department in 2012, Kris leveraged her leadership prowess, work ethic and corporate knowledge to expand her department into a best-in- class global communications team. This communication strategy is built and tailored to the over 150 locations, where at many sites, English is a second language. One of the key projects she took on within her first weeks in the communications department was revitalizing the global employee company newsletter, The Circuit. Under her leadership, this publication has expanded to a twenty-page monthly newsletter highlighting company news, cultural events, company sponsored community events and employee appreciation. This is the sole channel of communication for many of the manufacturing employee base.
Kris now leads the company’s internal and external communications apparatus, increasing its involvement, visibility and reach throughout ON Semiconductor and its stakeholder publics. She manages strategic communication in the company’s mergers and acquisitions, social media programs and corporate events, coordinates financial announcements, and is actively involved and the communication lead for the company’s first women’s leadership initiative. She reinforces a strong company brand at every major location, continuously reassesses communication through employee engagement efforts and has made community outreach the focus of her global team.

A part of her department’s success is Kris’ passion for metrics. Kris methodically tracks time worked, messages sent and global reach for each and every project that she, and now her team, strategically implements. Since building this foundation, Kris’s team and resources have grown. She now manages the global communications department of eight employees and works on communications strategy with 13 international liaisons, 36 compliance and ethics liaisons and an external press agency based out of London.

Outside of her daily communications responsibilities and board commitment to the compliance and ethics committee, Kris manages the company’s global business continuity and crisis communications response and is a trusted advisor to the company’s executives and Board of Directors where she monitors and reports on brand and reputation risks. In the fall of 2016 Kris was a speaker at the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics: 2016 Compliance and Ethics Institute Leadership Skills to Advance Your Program.
